Myth is very popular in the human beings through urban and rural. Though the myths are illogical, it’s a matter of great regret that myths exist on a mass scale in our country yet. Rural areas are most affected by that curse rather than urban. The myths spread like as nuclear, man to man, and one after another, as inheritance.
In the below there have mentioned five common urban myths in our country-
a) When a man/women combs his/her hair, in that time, if that the comb comes down in the floor from his/her hand, it will be believed that someone (guest) is coming to his/her home in that day or very soon.
b) In the period of going out side from the home, if someone stumbles with a weeping broom, that event will be believed that the person’s journey will not be fine or comfortable, as he expected.
c) A person is going outside from home, then if his clothes held in the door’s side, it’s also mentioning that bad/evil something is going to happen to him in his way.
d) When an owl howls with a long time at night very near from homes, it messages the dweller, something is going to happen bad in that night, and they feel fear and alert whole the night.
e) If a man has a spot/mole on his feet. The man will go abroad for doing job and he will be rich very soon by earning a lot of money.
All the myths are spreading man to man without base.

A very good post. Some new ones for me. Many of these are "village myths" but could just as well be "urban". All cultures have these, not just Bangladeshis or village dwellers. Superstition it seems is part of our being.
